MyVitro IVF Essential Support Kit

IMG_0213.JPG

One infamous thing about IVF is the insane amount of medications that come with it. It seems there are endless syringes, needles, and pills required to complete an IVF or embryo transfer protocol, and storing and organizing these items as recommended is no easy task. Some medications need to be refrigerated, some need to remain at room temperature, some can’t be shaken…you get the picture.

Being the Type A lady I am, I’ve been searching ways to safely and securely store all the medications needed for our IVF process, and I was coming up empty until I stumbled across the Instagram page for a company called MyVitro.

This was long before we were preparing for our IVF cycle, and I was so impressed with the wide variety of products MyVitro offered to make IVF easier: caddies, travel cases, shot stations, hot/cold packs—they have truly thought of everything.

Naturally, being the Caboodles-loving 90s child I am, I immediately fell in love with the IVF Essential Support Kit they offer. Here’s what comes in it!

FERTILITY CADDY

The fertility caddy is originally what drew me to the IVF Support Kit. It’s completely customizable, portable, and secure. It’s crazy to think any one product could accommodate all the different kinds of medications IVF requires, but the fertility caddy is flexible enough to store everything needed during a cycle. It’s sleek, portable, and extremely roomy. Can’t wait to fill it up in just a few weeks!

SHOT STATION

One huge part of IVF is preparing and administering injections, and that requires a high level of sterilization and organization. This process also requires the detailed instructions from our clinic close by so we give the appropriate doses at the right times. The shot station accomplishes these goals in one sleek, medical-grade piece. It also has a unique surface which prevents medications from rolling out of the sterile area before you use them.

TRAVEL CASE

Having had to take medication for our IUIs at 7 PM no matter what, I remember the stress of trying to stay on schedule when I was away from home. Enter the travel case: it’s a portable injection station and secure medication storage case. It’s small enough to carry around easily, but it folds open to hold a number of medications, needles, alcohol swabs, and it can even accommodate an ice pack so your medication stays at the right temp. While I don’t plan on traveling during our cycle, it’s a huge comfort to know I can prepare my medications, toss them in my bag, and go about my life without worrying, and I think this travel case is one of the best products MyVitro offers.

FRIDGE BOX

Okay, this one is genius. For the medications that need to remain in the fridge, the fridge box is an awesome solution. Not only does it keep your medication separate from everything else in your fridge, but it also keeps it clean, secure, and neatly stored. I chose the blush option, obviously, but they also offer a white option, and the fridge box can easily be used for storage outside of IVF cycles, too!

PLUSH HOT + COLD PACK (X2)

As IVF injections can be uncomfortable, many who have been through the process recommend ice packs or heating pads to help ease pain and discomfort. I love that MyVitro created these easy-to-use gel packs that can be frozen or heated to make injecting medication so much better. The plush packs are large, comfortable in your hand, and soft on the skin, so the sting of all the needles and hormones is a little bit less.

FERTILITY AFFIRMATION CARD

This is the sweetest surprise in the IVF Support Kit—a fertility affirmation card from the company, Conceivable Designs. The card is gorgeous and says “IVF Got This” on one side, and “My body is strong and capable” on the other. I love having something so lovely and positive to focus on throughout this harrowing process, and Conceivable Designs offers all sorts of other products which I’m sure I’ll be shopping in the next few weeks!

If you haven’t already shopped the awesome products MyVitro offers, I really hope you’ll check them out. I feel so much more prepared for our cycle and ready to organize the overwhelming amount of medication we’ll need!
